The Immigrant Resource Program will provide you with information about living in Manitoba. We can help you:
- Find English classes
- Get your language assessment (Canadian Language Benchmark level)
- Register your children for school
- Find employment
- Apply for the Manitoba Health card, Social Insurance Number, and other important information and documents
- Find other services and resources in your community
- Learn more about immigration and citizenship

Who is Eligible
You are qualified to use our services if you have:
- Permanent resident status
- Canadian citizenship, if you were born outside Canada
- Refugee status
- A letter of nomination from the Province of Manitoba

The Immigrant Resource Program provides a welcoming environment to newcomers in Portage la Prairie and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to assist them in settling and integrating into the local community.
